Pre-order: The Keeper's Membership - 3 litres a year

Four deliveries a year of our organic extra-virgin olive oil from western Sicily. We craft it in small quantities from three traditional Sicilian cultivars grown on our land and on our local partner farm: Cerasuola, Nocellara del Belice, and Biancolilla. Olives are pressed within hours of harvest to preserve the vibrant flavour and high concentration of polyphenols.

• Paid today, delivered November — the original bottle plus a 500 ml refill pouch, filled with this year's early harvest, milled within hours of picking.
• Paid 1 March, delivered March — two refill pouches, one litre.
• Paid 1 June, delivered June — two more, another litre.
• Paid 1 September, delivered November — your membership renews with the new harvest. You can cancel anytime after the second delivery.

That works out at roughly half a litre every two months. The bottle stays; the pouches refill it. Less glass, less packaging, less freight.

Each delivery also brings something from the land, seasonal herbs picked from around the grove, whichever ones are at their best when your box is packed. Wild fennel, oregano, rosemary; it depends on the season and on what the year has given us. With them comes a recipe from Michele's family book

What your membership pays for

Profits from the membership goes back into the grove. Right now that means planting: more herbs, more flowering species, more diversity between and beneath the olive trees. The aim is a grove that supports pollinators, keeps its soil covered through the summer, and holds together better in a landscape that is getting hotter and drier every decade.

What it means to be a Keeper

Most olive groves in Sicily are monocultures: rows of one tree, bare soil between them, everything else cleared away. Ours was too. We are planting herbs, flowers and other trees between and beneath the olives, so that what grows here becomes a system rather than a crop.

That is also what the membership box is. The herbs that come with your oil are not a gift shop addition, they are the grove itself, the things we planted for the pollinators and the soil, which turn out to be worth picking and sending. Keepers are the people who make that possible: households who buy a year ahead so we can plant the year ahead, and who get to taste what grows here while we find out what works.

How the membership runs: Your membership runs across four deliveries and renews automatically for the next harvest unless you cancel. We'll email you before each renewal. You can cancel any time after your second delivery, from your account or by replying to any of our emails.

Shipping Information

Pre-order: Our olives are hand-picked and cold-pressed in early October, then filtered and bottled immediately to preserve their full organoleptic character. Orders ship in November, and you'll receive tracking as soon as yours leaves the grove.

We offer simple and transparent shipping for all orders:

• EU (Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Spain): Free shipping. Orders are shipped directly from within the EU.

• Switzerland: Free shipping. Orders are shipped to Swiss customers from within Switzerland, so there are no extra fees upon delivery.
